Online Poker Room Review – Full Tilt Poker
Full Tilt Poker is one of the heavy hitters in online poker. With high volume traffic it boasts a team of over 40 world-class poker pros, including big names such as Phil Ivey, Allen Cunningham, Gus Hansen, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Erik Seidel, and Jennifer Harmon. If you’ve made any foray into the world of online poker, you’d practically have to be living under a rock not to have heard about Full Tilt. Is the hype deserved…
Absolutely.

Full Tilt offer a healthy range of poker varients including Texas Hold Em, Omaha, Omaha High-Lo, Five-Card Draw, Razz, H.O.R.S.E. and draw. Game styles include No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Fixed-Limit. Shorthanded and heads up tables are available in addition to the usual full table ring game.
Full Tilt offers an impressively varied range of tournaments, with regular multi-table tournaments starting at low stakes to the regular weekly tournaments with cash prize pools in the hundreds of thousands. You’ll also find a range of mutli and single table Sit n Go’s which kick off with fairly decent regularity. It’s the host of FTOPS (Full Tilt Online Poker Series) which is one of the premier online poker tournaments available.
The software is excellent, sporting a stable platform and eye-candy (although somewhat kindergartenized) graphics. The funtions are easy to use and offer variation to those who like to fiddle with their poker settings.
Support is quite solid and I can speak from personal experience to the fact that issues are resolved rapidly.
Full Tilt offer a hefty sign up bonus for new players, and are decent enough to offer frequent reload bonus’ for those players who manage to scrape their cashier balance to zero. There is a range of deposit options available with equivelent cash out facilities, adding to player convenience and security.
Full Tilt offers some fairly solid players at all levels, so it’s not necessarily juicy pickings for new players. However, at lower stakes ($1/$2 and under) you’ll find plenty of players looking to donk off large proportions of their bankroll. I advocate Full Tilt to the new player on the simple premise that your standard of play can’t help but improve in the midst of competant online play. You’ll also be assisted by the Full Tilt Forum, one of the more comprehesive poker discussion forums online.
